Hypertension

Hypertension is characterized by blood pressure consistently at or above 130 mm Hg (systolic) or 80 mmHg (diastolic). It affects around 1.28 billion adults aged 30 to 79 worldwide. However, only 21% of these patients have their hypertension under control, placing most of them at increased risk of cardiovascular disease and death. While many treatments exist, in general, at least two different classes of medication are required to bring blood pressure to a healthy range, and efficient control is only achieved in 30.4% of treated adults. 

NuSirt has promising clinical data from obesity and MAFLD trials indicating that TRIPLN^® reduces blood pressure, particularly those with hypertension. To assess its potential in all patients with hypertension, we are conducting a Phase 2 trial of TRIPLN^® in hypertension scheduled to begin in the spring/summer of 2026.
